Why is there a difference in a postform profile and a custom profile?

  • Postform profiles require the laminate to be heated and then applied to the substrate

   

  • This process requires a large postforming machine typically used in large scale factories​​

  • The postforming machines produce countertops in standard sizes

​​

  • Custom sized bars and islands require additional costs due to set up fees for this machinery
